High School Announcements



  • Congratulations to the Outlaw basketball teams on their wins against Marietta in the Regional Basketball Tournament.  Good luck to the girls’ as they compete against Centennial tonight at 6:30. 


  • Driver’s ed students may pick up their March/April driving schedules at Ms. Harmeyer’s desk.  Make sure you get the correct schedule.


  • Any junior boy who is interested in attending American Legion Boys’ State should stop by Ms. Harmeyer’s desk and pick up an information sheet.  Resumes are due in the office by March 27th.


  • Mid-day Manna at FUMC this Thursday at lunch.  BarBQue Sandwiches, Chips, Drinks & Little Debbie Snacks.  Everyone is welcome to attend.


  • Academic Banquet tickets are now available for purchase for anyone who would like to attend.  The cost is $15, & may be purchased in the HS office.  Deadline to purchase tickets is March 24th


  • Seniors – An updated application for the Mary G. Wade Memorial Scholarship is available.  It specifies the subject of the essay and they are extending the deadline to March 31st.


  • Jr./Sr. Parents - After Prom Meeting Wednesday @ 7pm @ Elementary Cafeteria.  Due to security in not knowing all of the parents and for the safety of our children, ALL Junior and Senior parents that want to attend After Prom must sign up to work a station at After Prom Prior to Prom Night!  We will have sign-up sheets at the meeting.


  • Seniors – The Marlow Ministerial Alliance Scholarship application is now available.  Deadline to apply is April 17th.


  • Seniors, your senior yearbook quote is due to the yearbook staff by March 13. If your quote is not received, the staff will choose a quote for you.


  • Seniors – If you still have not ordered your graduation cap & gown, you need to do so ASAP.  Spring order forms are available at the bottom of the scholarship file.


  • The MHS exPRESS and Outlaw exPRESSions online newspaper are looking for a few good men and women to fill positions in all aspects of the publications for the 2015-2016 school year. Stop by Room 105 to pick up an application from Mrs. Bullard.


  • Any student who is interested in being on the yearbook staff for the 2015/16 school year can pick up an application from Ms. Cramton in room 106. Applications need to be returned by March 13.  We are looking for staff members who are creative, willing to learn new computer programs, literate in PhotoShop, and interested in improving photography and writing skills. Yearbook is a team activity, so those who work well in groups should apply.


  • Marlow Juniors, Seniors, and your dates:  Afterprom contracts are now available @ Mrs. Talley's desk.  A contract MUST be completely filled out and turned in to Mrs. Talley before you will be allowed to enter Afterprom.  This includes underclassmen and out of town students going as dates. Please read the contract carefully and fill out completely. It MUST have a Parent signature!!! There are Deadlines this year. Marlow Juniors and Seniors must turn in their contracts before or on the following dates to be guaranteed a prize. Anything turned in after March 13 is NOT guaranteed a prize, so get them in ASAPFebruary 13 - Your name went into the 1st round drawing.  February 26 - Your name goes into the 2nd round drawing.  March 13 - Your name goes into the 3rd round drawing.  If you are a Marlow Junior or Senior, you do not have to go to the Prom to be allowed into Afterprom, but the same requirements apply.


  • Juniors and seniors who plan to bring NON MHS dates to the prom need to pick up a guest approval form from Ms. Cramton in room 106. Forms are due back by March 13 along with a $100 prom ticket fee.


  • Girls who will be attending prom need to remember the dress requirements when shopping for this year's dress. Strapless dresses are acceptable; however, no visible or exposed mid-riffs, two piece dresses, or dresses with backs cut below the natural waistline will be admitted into the prom area. Also, dresses must be at least fingertip length.  To avoid an embarrassing situation or to clarify the requirements, please contact Mrs. Cramton at least one week in advance of prom.


  • Seniors: if your parent purchased a recognition ad for you in the yearbook, please let them know that the pictures and messages are due by March 13.




  • Please check your email for students that are excused at designated times this week for the Stephens County Livestock Show.
  • There will be a faculty meeting tomorrow morning at 7:30 a.m. in the library.
  • Reminder the Blast Assembly is tomorrow.  It has been moved up to 9am.
