ANNOUNCEMENTS  1/30/2015

 

  • Congratulations to Miss Addie Wortham who was selected as the wrestling Homecoming Queen!

 

  • Good Luck to the Outlaw basketball teams as they host games against Little Axe tonight beginning at 6:30.  Homecoming will be tonight at half time of the boys’ game, & Senior Night tomorrow night between games against Velma, that also begin at 6:30.

 

  • Break-a-Leg to the Marlow Entertainers, Mr. Logan, & Coach Gage as they perform their rendition of “Annie” for Central High this morning.  Performance for MHS is this PM at 12:30---$3/student payable to your 5th hour teacher; Public Matinee tomorrow at 3:00 pm---$5 admission.  Students not wishing to attend will report to Coach Scalf’s room, 103.

 

  • All Chickasaw and Choctaw students need to turn in their 2nd 9 weeks report cards to Mrs. Darling at the middle school by today.

 

  • There are a few seats available to see Shark Tank's star Daymond John in Weatherford, OK on Wednesday, February 18.  The Shark Tank entrepreneur will be presenting his experiences of his success in the financial world.  Daymond John is the CEO and founder of FUBU brand clothing and a star on the hit TV show, Shark Tank.   See Mr. Prater, Mrs. Field, or Ms. Huddleston if you want to attend.  Cost is only $5 and you need to sign up and pay by this Friday.  The bus will leave after school at 3:45 and stop to eat before the event which starts at 7:30pm in Weatherford.

 

  • NO SCHOOL FOR STUDENTS ON MONDAY!!!  PROFESSIONAL DAY FOR TEACHERS.

 

  • For those who signed up, Driver’s Ed class begins Monday from 4-6:30 p.m. and will be held in Coach Brantley’s room at the middle school.  The cost of $125 is due the first day of class.  If you signed up, but did not receive a schedule, you may pick one up at Ms. Harmeyer’s desk.

 

  • Valentine Crush grams are still on sale for $1 from any Student Council member until next Tuesday.  Each includes a bottle of Crush and a message & may be sent to any Marlow campus.

 

  • Seniors – The (REC) Rural Electric Cooperative Scholarship application is due Tues. Feb. 3rd.

 

  • Jr. & Sr. parents - After Prom meeting is next Wednesday Feb. 4 at 7pm at the elementary cafeteria. We will be setting up committees for the night of After Prom.

 

  • A list of students who qualified for the 2015 Academic Banquet is posted on the blue doors across from the high school office.  The banquet will be held on March 31, 2015.  If you have qualified in years past, please return your Academic pin to Ms. Harmeyer ASAP.  More info later.

 

  • FCCLA State Convention and Frontier City Fun Night will be on Thursday, April 2nd.  Cost to attend both and all you can eat meal ticket is $40.  Sign up with Ms. Huddleston and pay half by Feb. 12th and half by Mar. 9th.

 

  • Marlow Juniors, Seniors, and your dates:  Afterprom contracts are now available @ Mrs. Talley's desk.  A contract MUST be completely filled out and turned in to Mrs. Talley before you will be allowed to enter Afterprom.  This includes underclassmen and out of town students going as dates. Please read the contract carefully and fill out completely. It MUST have a Parent signature!!! There are Deadlines this year. Marlow Juniors and Seniors must turn in their contracts before or on the following dates to be guaranteed a prize. Anything turned in after March 13 is NOT guaranteed a prize, so get them in ASAPFebruary 20 - Your name goes into the 1st round drawing.  February 26 - Your name goes into the 2nd round drawing.  March 13 - Your name goes into the 3rd round drawing.  If you are a Marlow Junior or Senior, you do not have to go to the Prom to be allowed into Afterprom, but the same requirements apply.

 

  • Juniors and seniors who plan to bring NON MHS dates to the prom need to pick up a guest approval form from Ms. Cramton in room 106. Forms are due back by March 13 along with a $100 prom ticket fee.

 

  • Girls who will be attending prom need to remember the dress requirements when shopping for this year's dress. Strapless dresses are acceptable; however, no visible or exposed mid-riffs, two piece dresses, or dresses with backs cut below the natural waistline will be admitted into the prom area. Also, dresses must be at least fingertip length.  To avoid an embarrassing situation or to clarify the requirements, please contact Mrs. Cramton at least one week in advance of prom.

 

  • Seniors: if your parent purchased a recognition ad for you in the yearbook, please let them know that the pictures and messages are due by March 13.

  • Please check your email for the list of vocal students that need to be excused all day.
