MPS Opens Applications for Vacant Board of Education Seat

Following a recent resignation, Marlow Public Schools is accepting applications for Board of Education Seat #2.  Applications can be picked up during school hours at the Administration Office located at 407 West Seminole or email Superintendent Corey Holland at cholland@marlow.k12.ok.us to request an application be emailed to you. Applications must be received by 3PM on September 15th.  

To be eligible to apply, qualified candidates must have lived in the school district and be a district registered voter the previous 6 months. Qualified candidates must also have a high school diploma or GED, not have a disqualifying felony or embezzlement conviction and not be closely related to a board member or employee.

Those selected for interviews by the board will do so during a Special Board Meeting on September 23rd. The successful applicant for the board position will be seated at the next regular board meeting on October 5th unless the board decides for it to take place at a Special Board meeting. The selected applicant will finish out the remaining part of the current term which ends in April 2027.
