Scholarships
Students can earn scholarships in basically two ways.
- When they apply for admission to a college, their high school transcript and college entrance exam, such as the ACT, will qualify them for scholarships directly from the college or university. You can visit the website of the college(s) and find their qualifying criteria for the scholarships they provide.
- The other way is through an application process. Throughout the year, all students will be provided scholarship information that allows them to apply for those scholarhsips. Students are responsible for completing their own scholarship applications and making sure each application has the necessary documents (ie: transcripts, letters of recommendation) included, as well.
- Scholarship portal that is recommended to the students is in their ICAP through OKCollegeStart. The majority of the scholarship applications available in the fall semester will be found through this portal.
- There will also be scholarship application links provided in the Google Classroom so make sure to check there often. This is through the student login.
- Local scholarships will become available in the spring semester, typically around February. These are also posted to the Google Classroom to all senior students.
